CLIENT CASE STUDY
Paul's Family Homestead

Our Focus
To conduct a detailed site analysis and create a Masterplan for a sustainable family homestead in Uvita.
Location

Uvita, Costa Rica
Challenge and Solution
The site’s steep slopes required careful planning to manage stability and water runoff. Protecting the native vegetation and nearby creek was essential, along with maintaining the family’s desired views. The family also needed practical guidance on where to place key features like a meditation hub, yoga shala, and trees for food production.
We addressed these challenges with simple earthworks to stabilize slopes and direct water runoff effectively. The Masterplan identified suitable locations for structures and planting, balancing functionality with the preservation of the site’s natural beauty.

Key Results
- Creek and native vegetation protected through careful planning and runoff control.
- Functional spaces like the meditation hub and yoga shala positioned to complement the landscape and maintain views.
- Thoughtfully planned tree planting to support sustainable food production and shade.
